Chef owner of The critically acclaimed gastropub The Pack Horse in Hayfield since 2016, self-taught chef Luke Payne opened his 2nd restaurant Almanac in Glossop last summer- a small plates venue which celebrates Britains food heritage with dishes taking homage from recipes of the 1920s. With instant classics such as mince of dripping toast and orbs of joy, Almanac achieved Michelin Guide status just 5 months after opening.
